Star Gladiators 2 Weapons and Powerups Guide

There are 18 powerups you can pick up while playing Star Gladiators 2, all of them good, some of them rare. Remember not to waste time with powerups you don't need and don't care if your opponent collects.

Powerup
Description
Shields
Each one of these will restore a chunk of your shields when collected. Shields are VERY important to surviving an SG2 battle so make sure you never let your opponent collect one of these!
Energy
These powerups will restore all of your energy. Useful if your ship has run dry and has poor energy recharging capabilities.
Coolant
These will remove all built up heat from your ship. Useful if your ship has poor cooling properties.

Powerup
Description
Ion Gun
Ion shots are fairly basic and have balanced energy usage and heat build-up. Higher levels have wider spreads of shots.
Spreader
Spreaders fire more shots at once for each level they are upgraded to, but the amount of damage done doesn't really change.
Laser
Lasers are all around fast and easy to hit with and although they use plenty of energy to fire they build up very little heat.
Plasma
Plasma bolts may be slow but they're big, making them just as hard to dodge as lasers. They don't use much energy but build up lots of heat.
Xenon Gun
The Xenon Gun fires spreads of shots just like the spreader that move very fast. Be warned, this weapon will dry out your energy banks in a hurry.
Starfire Gun
Starfire bolts are quite unpredictable, so this weapon shoots them out the front end of your ship like a shotgun. Builds up a fair amount of heat and uses less energy than most weapons.
Flamer
The Flamer does tremendous amounts of damage but will shoot your heat levels through the roof if you're not careful.
Mirror Laser
Mirror Laser shots bounce off of the walls making them hard to dodge. They don't do much damage though and take lots of energy to fire.
Tracer Shot
Tracers do pathetic damage but will actually track your opponent. Higher leveled shots have better tracking.
Omega Cannon
The bolts from this weapon track your opponent horizontally, thus they work best at long range. Uses a bit more energy than it builds up heat.
Fusion Cannon
Fusion cannon bolts use a lot of energy and build up a lot of heat but they do huge amounts of damage per shot. They move slowly though so aim is important.

Powerup
Description
Ion Beam
Fast moving and hard hitting, Ion Beams are very tough to dodge and do tons of damage. They are very energy intensive though and few ships can fire more than a few shots before drying up their energy banks.
Psycho Blaster
Psycho Blaster shots are pretty standard except they track YOUR ship horizontally! Technique is everything with this weapon as you will see once you obtain one. It uses just as much energy as it builds up heat.
MegaFlamer
This weapon spreads FIVE level 3 Flamer shots across the field and is practically impossible to dodge! Be warned though, one single shot will do a number on your heat levels.

Powerup
Description
Super Powerup
This special powerup will raise your maximum shield, energy and heat levels and also give you all of the 11 standard weapons, all fully maxed out. This powerup is EXTREMELY rare so if you see it, get it before your opponent does!

Super Weapons Note: The three super weapons only have one level of power and cannot be leveled up.
