This pattern is diamond-like with a plus-symbol pattern in the middle of each octagon. The difficulty with this pattern lies in the fact that the differences between the tiles touching each other are subttle and tricky to find.

You need to know your minesweeper mathematics before you challenge this pattern. There is a bit of consistency in this pattern compared to the others in the Intricate Octangles set, but not much.
Pattern 3

Don't let the "Moderate" difficulty fool you, just like every other Intricate Octangles pattern you need to know the basics of minesweeper mathematics in order to survive.

The nature of this pattern makes for a long game. It almost looks like it should be simple to play due to the small pieces all conforming with each other, when in fact they are surprisingly difficult to work with.
Pattern 5

Despite the look of this pattern, combining so many different classes of shapes, it's surprisingly easy, which is to say it is pretty easy in comparison to everything else in the Intricate Octangles style set... which means you still need to be careful!
Pattern 6

The only thing that makes this flower-like pattern a bit easier than usual is its consistency, which is a bit higher than with the other patterns. These are good boards to start with if you are a bit nervous about taking on something in the Intricate Octangles set.
Pattern 7

You'll be cursing at this pattern before you're through playing it. The circular alignment of the pieces combined with the fact that they touch so many other tiles will not only hurt your brain but your penalty time too.
Pattern 8

Regular, Large
Difficulty: Moderate

Because of the number of squares in this pattern it's certainly not too difficult, and the consistency helps out too. If the Pattern 6 boards are too challenging then try these ones instead.
