Vectorzone --- Downloads

WARNING! - You are about to download an ALPHA version of this game. Many of the features that are planned are not yet implemented and the game may even crash or lock up your system, especially if it does not have enough video RAM or you tweak the configuration file to values that aren't quite valid. You test this game entirely at your own risk; Pixelmusement cannot be held responsible if absolutely anything goes wrong.

Minimum System Requirements:

If you encounter any bugs or wish to make some suggestions as to how you would like to see the game evolve, send them to: vzone@pixelships.com

Please note that by sending in a suggestion or bug report, you waive all rights to those ideas and information. This is because many suggestions may already be planned for the initial release or subsequent releases and bugs will get found and squashed sooner or later.

Notes:

  • The first time you run Vectorzone, the game will run fullscreen at your current desktop resolution and a configuration file called "Vectorzone.cfg" will be created in an appropriate location. Search your system for this file and open it if you want to change any settings, such as the size of the game world, the size of the interface elements, the vertical sync setting, the windowed setting, or the resolution you want the game to run at.
  • Some configuration settings are automatically determined when the game is run so you will need to turn the appropriate automatic setting off before your own manual settings will take effect.
  • Control customization is not yet possible. Use the AWDS keys to move, aim your VAC with the mouse, change weapon rapidity with 1~4, and hold Spacebar to bring up the sector map.
  • You can also currently change the colour of your VAC using U/I for the hue, O/P for saturation, and the square-bracket keys for lightness. This is just a temporary feature until VAC customization is added.
  • If you find it hard to look at the screen, trying toggling the glow effect with F6, or cycling the map drawing mode with F7.
